The Power of Collective Consciousness
given on Day 5 of the Retreat:
The
Power of Collective Consciousness
Presented
by Sri Vasudeva
“If
we begin to touch the hearts of those around us, with our
own light, with our own love, with our own strength, we’ll
create a better world.” Sri Vasudeva
“I
do believe that we can create change in the world, by the
strength of our own self-transformation. And I know it because
my life is different. And, if I can be who I am, if I can
feel in the seat of power inside myself, if I can control
my mind and my emotions, then I know it is possible for every
human being, and I live in the dream of this possibility for
our planet.”
Sri Vasudeva

Community
Today, is an exciting day as it relates to community. Today
is based on healing of community. We have with us some presenters,
who have lived in different communities across the world,
and you are going to hear them. Our zoologist and biologist
will tell us that nature has communities. I told them this
morning that in nature are community builders, when you look
at the communities of ants or termites or bees, and I am sure
there are many more biological communities. Then, I am asking,
is a human being a community builder or a community destroyer,
because we have been destroying communities? We have been
polluting oceans, rivers, cutting down trees. So we wondered
if we are really building community. Then, the idea that we
are not only a human community, but we are also part of a
biological community.
So,
we want to talk today about building community, not just a
spiritual community, not just a learning community, not just
a cultural community, we also want to include biological communities.
Maybe we can learn from nature. So we have our zoologist and
we have our biologist and they will take us on a journey of
community in nature. So we have an exciting day ahead. I look
forward to it and I want to talk about how human beings touch
each other and create community.
For
me community is extremely important in the world today because
our world is a reflection of the kind of community we have
been developing. As you can see, we have a world where there
is a lot of poverty, imprisonment, incarceration, suffering,
war, violence, a lot of military build-up, armories, armaments,
and I am wondering if that is the perfect community. And if
we can just dream a little bit, if we can stretch our imagination
into looking at what is the perfect community and will we
ever be able to capture it. Will we ever be able to touch
the perfect community?
And
of course, you know, we think that the family is a community,
the work place is a community, wherever two or more people
exist, we have community, that our village, our city, our
country, they are all communities. And today we have the cyber
space community. On the Internet, we have a very powerful
community. I can be here now on my computer and I am in contact
with someone from Australia, someone from Japan, someone from
England, and we are all chatting away on the Internet cyber
space community.
So
life is very rich in community, and how can we use community
to build our world? So, that’s what we want to explore
today. We thought that on this retreat dealing with healing
community is a very important aspect of healing. How can we
heal community? And wherever you have a system, like the body
is a system, if one part of it goes out of order, it influences
the whole. So when we think of the world community, if there
is any part of humanity that is suffering, it must affect
the whole.
For
example if there is aids, or you remember SARS. You remember,
it started somewhere in Asia, and then someone traveled, and
they had been to Canada, and suddenly it came to Canada and
then a little part of the United States. Thank God it was
arrested. Can you imagine this spreading across the world?
And today, we know the HIV virus is spreading and spreading
because of community. We share it in community.
So,
how can we use the power of community that we interact with
each other in a local, global sense as well? How do we use
the power of community to create a better world? Today we
invite you to join us as we look at communities and we look
at our individual responsibility in communities to create
a better world. In Blue Star, we say if you make a step to
transform yourself, you make a step to transform the community.

Cosmic
Community
We believe that we are also in a cosmic community, that the
earth is a planetary body, moving around the sun. So, right
now, we are space travelers. We are moving in space around
the sun. You may not think of it that way, but if you look
up in the sky in the night, then you will realize how much
you are a planetary traveler because the night sky will keep
on changing as we move. And you will see how there is a night
sky, and it changes. It is because we are moving, we are moving
in space.
If
you were to go on a space ship and you are moving, you are
so amazed, oh now this is different, this is different; we
are actually in a spaceship, earth. And as you look through
the night, you will see the whole heavens change, it is because
you are moving in space. And the sun is our nearest star.
I want you to know, those of you who may not know astronomy,
that the sun is a star. All those stars that you see giving
out light, emitting light, they are like a sun, the sun is
our nearest star, ninety-three million miles away.
So,
we have this powerful star just before us as we begin our
day. This powerful star is just before us. And we move relative
to this star because the sun is stationary and we are moving
around. So when we think the sun is moving. It is really we
are moving. So the sun seems to move from East to West, but
we are moving from West to East. So we have the idea that
it is moving from East to West. Amazing isn’t it? So
we are planetary travelers.
So
we have a cosmic existence with the planets out there, like
our friend Narada Kosh he was saying last night, he is an
astrologer. And he was showing how the Moon and Jupiter and
Venus are together these days and he was saying, if you look
a little bit more, we will see Mars, Mars also in the night
sky will come as we move. He is saying that Mars is going
to be closest to us in this time period, closest to us than
in some hundred years or so. That’s very exciting as
well.
So,
we are in a cosmic community, the earth amongst all the planets
in the sky. If you ever looked at the galaxy, you will see
that you would have to put an arrow on the earth somewhere
here, a little bit of dust. The earth is somewhere there.
So we are very tiny in the whole galaxy, almost you can’t
see it. But never the less, we think that we are so important.
But we are; on earth we are the boss. We are very important
on earth. We influence the earth in a very powerful way as
human beings. So I am going to call our astrologer to begin
our day. He will give us a little run down on how the cosmic
configuration looks today and how it influences our day by
cosmic vibrations. So, I welcome Narada Kush.

The
Cosmic Configuration for Today
Actually, I did not prepare another chart for today, the chart
will be more or less the same as yesterday. The only planet,
which has moved is, Venus. Venus went, this night, from the
11th house, from the house of progress to the 12th house,
which is the house of ashram life. So that is actually the
only change. So this day will be more or less, the same as
the day before. Maybe a little turbulence, as we also had
yesterday, more or less during noon, will be a little bit
later in the day.
Today,
of course is Friday. Friday is a very auspicious day, in the
weekdays, because it is ruled by, Venus also. The goddess
of this day is Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth and fortune
and good luck. So, Fridays are always very good for community
life like, weddings and this kind of celebration. Tomorrow,
it will be more on meditation. Saturdays are ruled by Saturn.
And, those days are excellent for extra meditation and relaxation.
So I think everything fits very nicely in the cosmic vibrations.

Sri
Vasudeva continues:
Energy
He was mentioning Lakshmi, the deity of the Hindus. I just
want to say that deities represent energy. So the Hindus just
put these images to represent energy, so it is the energy
of prosperity. You find that the energy of prosperity becomes
more, more manifested, more evident, more visible.
Community
Spirit in Nature
So, we begin our retreat today, looking at biological community.
What is in nature that creates community? Where do we get
this community spirit from? Nature abounds with this community
spirit where people, animals and plants are in interaction.
Even so, you see community of trees. When you think of trees,
they don’t have the ability to move, but yet they create
community. You see a whole grove of trees around you. So,
I think even these trees are able to create community.
What
is remarkable, sometimes I go for a walk and there’s
a lot of grass and if you go in this sort of wonderful area
at the back where there’s a lot of grasses and trees
and you come back, and I look and my trousers I have to clean.
It’s amazing how the plants use me to spread their seeds.
It’s amazing isn’t it. We think that these plants
do not have intelligence, but they grab my clothes and they
stick because they know I am traveling and I’ll spread
their seeds.
Sometimes
in the wind, you see all these little things blowing and you
wonder all these things are creating so much material in the
yard but these little plants are sending out things through
the air, little seeds to propagate. So it is amazing how nature
is creating community in its own way. So I am going to invite
our zoologist and biologist to lead us into the world of community
through biology and zoology.

Community
Through Biology and Zoology
The definition of community includes everything the plants,
the animals, the environment. It isn’t just people living
in buildings, it’s everything. That comes to the ecological
definition, ‘a group of interdependent organisms inhabiting
the same region and interacting with each other.’ Could
we not possibly consider that within us an organ could be
considered a community?
We
looked at heart cells and discussed that one heart cell, by
itself, will beat on its own. When you have those cells put
together they grow an inter-connective tissue, much like the
trees connect by the roots; they start beating in unison.
When you take these tissues and put them together, they become
an organ and they all work together for the good of the whole.
This heart beats, and it works with blood vessels and keeps
you alive by pumping blood through your body. But all these
little individual cells come together and work together just
like a little community within your body. A question to consider
is how do humans help build the community within themselves
of their organs?
And,
we would like to extend that idea a little bit more from an
organ into a whole system. So, we have organs, each one on
their own being a community. But organs make up a part of
a bigger community, that’s the system community. And,
therefore, if we look here, we have a variety of organs, these
all make up our digestive system but if we were to take one
out of there, the others would be affected, some to a greater
extend then others of course, but by and large they act in
a kind of synchronized way, one depends on the other. There
is an interdependence and again that’s another example
of interconnection and community within a system within the
body.

Sri Vasudeva continues:

Responsibility
to the Eco-Community
So, in dealing with community today, I wanted to start with
the biological community. I think it was a wonderful place
to start from. When I was listening to them, I was thinking
that we have the human community, this is us being together,
and we have the eco-community, our relationship with nature.
We have been striving to create a better human community by
creating better human relations and better human interrelationships.
But we have the eco-community in which we have a responsibility.
When
we think of community, we do not think of the eco-community.
So, this relates to how we are a part of the eco-community
and the responsibility we have for that, like cutting down
the trees or polluting the rivers. I wish that we could be
better eco-citizens in the eco-community. And we saw there,
the responsibility we have and how our ant friends and the
bees, how they are better examples to us about being a community
builder.
Creating
Human Communities
In creating human community, you see, it is not easy because
when we look at human community, even family members fight
with each other. We see that in the most intimate of communities,
where people should live together in harmony, we find even
there that we have friction and conflict and disagreement.
It can even get to violent proportions. It is a familiar thing
to hear that brothers and sisters are fighting with each other
over property, inheritance.
I
have worked in the school environment. And you find that in
the school environment, there is conflict between teachers
and teachers and principal and student conflict. Even in our
learning institutions where we are supposed to develop and
learn, we have conflict there and in our political environment,
government, you see there is conflict there, in social environment,
there is conflict. So we are still learning as a human race
to rise above conflict and to create more peaceful communities.
Today,
we want to look at how we can create better human communities.
We have seen our responsibility for the eco-community. But
I want to look at human communities. There are human communities
around the globe that are working towards creating peace and
harmony in the world. Those are the communities that really
inspire me, even from a young person. We have with us from
Holland, Wil van der Lans. She has lived in a couple of communities.
I
am going to ask her just to tell us, from her experience,
about the communities that she has been involved in, what
they have been doing to create a better world. And, I know
that she lived in Findhorn, a community in Scotland that I
like very much, because it started with nature, a garden community,
and then they grew into a learning community. Today, they
are a large learning community. And I am going to ask Wil
just to come and talk to us about the human community that
we can build and the ones that help us to move into the future.

Human
Communities That We Can Build
Three dedicated, disciplined spiritual people were instrumental
in developing the Findhorm community: Eileen and Peter Caddy
and Dorothy McClean. They were brought together in the late
1950’s. They started a small vegetable garden. They
followed the will of God, and this has brought them to what
Findhorn is today: a spiritual educational Centre of Light,
well-known all over the world. Their focus is based on the
principles of planetary service, co-creation with nature and
attunement to divinity in all beings.
Findhorn
has become world famous due to the extra-ordinary events which
occurred in the vegetable garden. The vegetables grew and
grew. They became much larger than normal vegetables on poor
soil, with composting and no pesticides. The real secret of
the success of the growing of the Findhorn garden was that
Dorothy McClean was an intuitive person and she had contact
with the spirits of the plants and she would communicate with
them. Eileen listened to the ‘small voice within’
and Peter followed their instruction and listened to his own
intuition.
The
combination of those three elements made the Findhorn garden
and, therefore the Findhorn community, world famous. I lived
there for three years. More information about the Findhorn
community can be found on their website.

A
Remarkable Teacher
I want to listen to Kush’s presentation. Kush comes
from the Maharishi Foundation. Maharishi really is a remarkable
teacher. A physicist by background, and he did a lot of meditation,
and his experiences have been of course, very profound. When
he wrote about meditation, it was from the background of a
physicist, so he spoke about the unified field. He worked
a lot with professional people in different fields. They had
a project, and I am sure Kush will speak about it, to reduce
the crime rate in a particular part of the United States.
The Transcendental Meditation group grew around the world.
It was just like wild fire. Everybody was doing TM, meditating.
And they were hugely successful in reducing the crime rate
in the population, simply with the power of meditation. It
shows the power of group consciousness.
Now,
when I come, in my presentation, I want to show how we can
effect the group consciousness in a very powerful way because
this is my work, this is what I have been doing across the
world. But when I read that research on the Internet that
inspired me. And sometimes I talk about it, that if one percent
of a population can begin to meditate, it promotes the peace
in the community. I would like Kush to tell you how this foundation
was able to bring about a lowering of crime rate in a population.
I think the solution lies in what he will tell us, what we
can actually do. That’s one of the reasons for the retreat.
We want to do exactly what was done by that organization.

Presentation by, Narada Kush

The
Maharishi Foundation
I became a teacher in Transcendental Meditation in 1980 and
from that time, I just lived in communities, in centres and
even we built up a village in Holland just for mediators and
right now, 400 people are living there. I lived also in that
village for ten years of my life.
Maharishi
predicted, I think it was in the 1970’s, he predicted
that when in a city, if more than one percent of the population
would practice meditation daily, then the quality of the social
life would be improved. What his scientists did in the USA,
they found eight cities with more than one percent of the
population meditating, and they took also eight control cities
where not so many were meditating and they did research. What
they found is that in the one percent cities (meditating),
the crime rate, the accident rate and the use of hospitals
dropped down with an average of 8%. And the other 8 cities
it was even raising with 8%.
So
that gave already a very nice indication that we really can
work with meditation. That was one of the research projects.
After that, what Maharishi did was create groups. He said,
‘when we have a group up to a critical mass, then we
can even influence, with the group of mediators, we can influence
the quality of the city, even we can influence the quality
of a country, even we can influence the whole world.’
He made calculations and he said that for a country like Holland,
a group of 400 mediators, permanent meditating every day under
the same roof, would give a very nice quality of co-hearance
in the whole country. He said for the whole world, we need
a permanent group of 7,000 practitioners of meditation. And
then also, we could really measure and then in the world,
the cohearnace also would go up.

Sri Vasudeva continues:

Energy
Fields
When I was looking at what Kush was saying here, which I think
is very important, and I speak of it sometimes. I speak of
it in a different way, a little bit, but I think what he was
showing is also very interesting. I say that, if you have
a magnet, a strong magnet and you bring a piece of unmagnetised
material, like a piece of iron next to it, just sitting there
it becomes transformed. But he is saying that in an unmagnetized
material the molecules are all over the place, disorganized.
But if they were to become organized, for whatever the reason
might be, what happens is that they create a magnetic field.
There is an energy field around them just because they become
organized. This is a wonderful way of looking at it.
If
you take a piece of iron, normally, it has no magnetic field,
just organizing molecules beside it and then you have a magnetic
field. Amazing, isn’t it? Because the molecules have
some kind of magnetic property, and I think they are all disorganized,
they cancel the effect of the collective. But when they all
become organized in one direction, then they create this wonderful
energy field. So, what about if we all become organized in
our minds with the same thought or the same feeling, what
can we create? It gives the idea of that doesn’t it?
Sri
Vasudeva led group in short meditation
Nourishing
the Body with the Power of Intention
As we continue, I want to invite Angela Petrascu from Romania.
She has been very much in the healing circle and she has also
been familiar with Jasmuheen. For those of you who have been
following my workshops, sometimes I talk about Jasmuheen.
This is one lady who has given up food. She has become a breatharian.
She is able to nourish the body, simply by the breath. This
is amazing. How she has done the process is that she has communicated
with her body cells, telling them that they don’t need
the food and they can be nourished just by energy.
So,
she speaks about communicating with our subtle body, if we
know how to, with the power of intention. She has a process
of twenty-one days, I think, of going through it, it is a
few weeks. A process of purification and meditation that takes
you into a different state where your body becomes nourished
simply by the energy that you breathe. It’s fascinating.
And,
there is a group of people around the world called breatharians
that live only on the breath. Amazing isn’t it. She
says that what it has done is it has changed her social life,
because when people meet, eating is an important part of it,
so it becomes boring when she goes to functions, all she does
is sip some tea or she has nothing. Some people, they eat,
although they are breatharians, there are some people who
still eat a little bit or have a little bit of tea, but largely
they still live on the energy of the breath. I think that’s
exciting.
What
I have found, in recent times, because she was going around
the world teaching this, but not everybody can live on the
breath. It requires a different kind of awareness, a different
kind of communication with your body cells. But the fact that
it can exist, for me is important. She has been doing a lot
of work around the world, telling people how to live; not
just to give up food, but telling people how to live.
I
have not met her in person, although when I left Romania,
she was coming to Romania. And, I am sure, maybe one day we
will meet. She is from Australia as well. A beautiful teacher,
in her own right, trying to bring about change in the world,
and she is trying to create community. Angela has been with
her and knows her. And I am going to ask her just to talk
a little bit about her experience with Jasmuheen and the work
Jasmuheen is doing in creating community.

Living
on Light
Every human being is an angel on the earth, who needs to have
human experiences. We can have human experience only on earth.
When somebody hurts us, we don’t have to forget that
it is an angel too. Eleven years ago, women from Australia,
Jasmuheen, stopped eating food, and she began to nourish herself
only on prana. She feeds herself from the divine self with
love, wisdom, peace and harmony. She surrendered herself to
the divinity inside herself.
Twenty-five
thousand people, from all over the world, responded to Jasmuheen’s,
program, ‘Living on Light’, permanently. Let’s
view a ten minute video from Jasmuheen’s 2003 Romanian
Conference. Jasmuheen down loaded, from the cosmic computer,
this program for herself, for the community and for human
evolution. Her intention for the world is to liberate people
from limitations, and she calls it, ‘Freedom Agenda.’
Many books, written by Jasmuheen, are available. Her next
step is to be free from needing liquids for her body. All
this is possible because she trusts the divine self.

World
Peace
Now we go into another, softer approach to the afternoon,
and we are going to call Sandra Wright. She is going to tell
us about how we can create a global network of prayer. At
this moment now, there are groups around the world who are
praying for all kinds of things, including world peace. So
during tomorrow’s session, we want to unite with those
groups, communities across the world, as we join them in a
prayer for world peace. So tomorrow’s session will be
largely practical. Sandra is going to take us through a little
journey of the prayer circles of the world. Let’s welcome
Sandra.
***
Presentation by Sandra Wright

Prayer
Circles
Now, we go into a little bit about prayer. I wonder if we
realize that every time we lift our consciousness, that the
consciousness of the planet is lifted along with us. And,
that for the last 30 years or so, the number of light workers
on the planet has increased tremendously. With that, the possibility
of really negative events occurring has been reduced, simply
because by the strength of the prayers, of the meditation,
of the energy that the light workers are creating.

We
are all light workers. There are many organizations around
the world, and you will notice, if you go on the Internet,
or you hear that they are having certain prayers, and they
are asking everybody to join at a certain time. When we do
that, we create such powerful energy, in that network alone,
that the energy of the planet is lifted in ways that we cannot
even begin to imagine. So, never underestimate the power of
prayer. We are just going to do a short little presentation
on the power of prayer and meditation for our community. It
is important to recognize that everyone and everything in
our lives is sacred.
***
Sri
Vasudeva continues:
World
Transformation
As I said before, I do believe that we can create change in
the world, by the strength of our own self-transformation.
And I know it because my life is different. And, if I can
be who I am, if I can feel in the seat of power inside myself,
if I can control my mind and my emotions, then I know it is
possible for every human being, and I live in the dream of
this possibility for our planet.
When
I think of the world, and I think of world transformation,
there are several thoughts that come to my mind. If the world
is going to be transformed, then we can’t have evil
minds in the world. If we do, they have to be in the minority.
They have to be kept under control. We can’t say that
we can destroy evil completely from anything, because life
is dual, but we can keep it in the shadow. There is a saying
that in every saint, there is a sinner. Every saint has a
history of being a sinner at some point. And, in every sinner
is the potential of a saint. Our hope is that we can keep
the evil in the shadow.
I
always think that bringing a new human being into the world
is a way of bringing light into the world. When I think of
how my mother brought me into the world, I think its possible
for every mother to bring a child of love into the world.
My mother prayed for a son, like the sun. In her tradition,
she was reading a prayer book, and it said that if you repeat
the prayer and fast, you will have a son as bright as the
son. And she completely believed in it, and she did it. So
in a way, my mother is responsible for me being here physically.
So for me this is one way of bringing light into the world.
So every pregnant women that I meet, I try to influence their
minds.
My
feeling is when mothers pray and create intentions of bringing
a good soul; our world will be peopled by a new generation
of children. And I do believe that thoughts of the mother,
the intentions of the mother, influence the kind of soul that
is coming into the world. And then the other way, this is
peopling the world, and the other way is sharing the light
we have with those around us. I do believe that if we hold
people, who are negative, or evil minded, if we hold them
in our light, the seeds will go back into the shadow and the
deeper qualities will come out.
When
we think of Mahtma Gandhi, whose picture we have at the back,
he tried to reach out into the hearts of those whom were considered
to be enemies. And he engineered the freedom of such a large
continent that was in the hold of the British Colonial Masters.
He engineered independence without war; a major feat at that
time, simply with the power of love and appealing to the hearts
of the Colonial Masters; and same with Martin Luther King,
peaceful.
If
we begin to touch the hearts of those around us, with our
own light, with our own love, with our own strength, we’ll
create a better world. And in Blue Star, we are working on
our own inner transformation, and we are working on touching
the lives of those around us. We are inviting you to join
with us powerfully as we do that. I believe that those who
carry the light, naturally and effortlessly awaken in others
the same light. Let us associate with those who live in the
light, let us honor those who live in the light, let us remember
those who live in the light, let us remember those who live
in the light, let us follow those who live in the light. And
soon enough we’ll have enough people in this world living
in the light.
And
as Narda Kush said, like the monkeys, we’ll be able
to influence just by the ripple, just by the energy that we
are manifesting, we’ll be able to influence the whole.
I wish for that day. I don’t know whether I will see
it in my lifetime, but I wish for that day. We have seen in
our lifetime here dismantling of systems that were destructive,
we see the freedom of Russia, we see the Berlin Wall going
down. I hope in our lifetime, we’ll see more, with human
beings loving human beings.

Meditation
Centre yourself in that space where all is possible. This
is the place where you meet the creator of life. This is the
place where every cell within you is nourished. This is the
place where you touch the universe. My soul meets the soul
of the universe in everyone. Feel that every breath you take
is a gift. Just breathe in slowly, knowing that the breath
sustains life. Breathe out slowly, as the biologists tell
us, that we give carbon dioxide to life, to the trees to replenish
the oxygen.
Think
of community. Think that every person is the source of light
when love is flowing from the heart. Think in our world today,
where there is darkness, that our light, our collective light,
can dispel that darkness. Expand your awareness to join with
everyone in the room and by extension, everyone in the world,
who is in this moment, extending love to bring light and illumination
to our world. We human beings carry intellectual power, the
power of thought, we are the custodians of all species of
life in the world. We are the custodians. We are the guardians.
We have the power to direct our light, through the power of
attention, to every species of life. We have the power to
lift our planet and create peace, love and harmony, in every
space, in every life form.
Direct
your peace into the universe, into the world. Direct your
peace. My peace I give to you my world, and keep a strong
awareness of peace, love and harmony in our planet. May there
be peace, love and harmony in our world. Say it within you,
with the deepest power of your intention, from the depth of
selfless love within you, may there be peace, love and harmony
in our world. May there be peace, love and harmony in our
world. May there be peace, love and harmony in our world.
And
bring to mind now, your sacred words, whatever they may be.
Take the name of God, however you conceive him/her to be.
Repeat the words that lift you into divine space. And, let
us sanctify our world with our presence. We are the guardians
of our society. Think of the world’s children and extend
your love to them. Think of your children, or the children
around you, and say a prayer for them. May you grow up in
love and wisdom, beauty. Think of the seniors of our world
who have paid their dues to society. Let us pray for their
well being and happiness. Think of the leaders of the world,
and let us pray that they will be divinely guided, that the
nations of great strength will support the nations that are
striving to develop. And think of the angels, the heavenly
beings, whom you feel during your times of prayer. Invite
them into your world, into our world.
Beloved
God, beloved creator of life, we thank you for bringing together
today these souls, who honor you and honor the light. We seek
your blessings that your light within us may shine in and
through us. We seek your blessings that our intentions of
love will carry your power. We seek your blessings as we aim
to create a world of peace, love and harmony. We seek your
blessings.
Our
human minds are limited, but your power is unlimited. We know
our world is full of darkness. We ask you, let us be instruments
of your light. Let your light in and through us light up our
world. Today, as we seek your light, your love, your power,
blessing, we repeat words of your messengers of light. We
remember the Christ, Jesus, leaving with us words of power.
We remember those words today, as we remember him as an instrument
of love, your instrument of love. We repeat his words:
Our
Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,
Give us this day our daily bread, and
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass
against us and
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for
Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and
ever, Amen.
In
the beautiful words and sounds of the Upanishad, we pray:
Asato Ma Sad Gamaya
Tamaso Ma Jyotir Gamaya
Mrityor Ma Amritam Gamaya
Lead us from the unreal to the real,
Lead us from darkness into light,
And lead us from the fear of dying to the experience of our
immortality in you.
And
in the words of the prophet Muhammad:
La Ilaha Il-Lalah.
There is but one God,
There is but one God.
Sabhan Allah
Sabhan Allah
Glory to that God.
Beloved
God, we thank you for the gift of this day. We ask that you
bless our country, our beloved country. Let there is change.
This is a week of healing for us. We ask you, let there be
change in this country. Please transform the evil hearts.
Please protect the innocent and the good. May your light shine
brightly in our country, bringing peace, love and harmony.
Thank you beloved God. Thank you beloved creator of the world.
Peace,
Peace, Peace
