Manifesting
the Christ Consciousnes
I continue to say that when we do not honour this Consciousness
within us, we are insulting the Christ within us; we are crucifying
the Christ within us. If there is a Christ within us and we
dishonour it, then we are crucifying the Christ inside of
us. It is not different from the Christ we crucified externally
over two thousand years ago. It is no different now; we did
it externally, now we do it daily internally when we go against
the values of our spiritual nature.
When we remember the
birth of such a beautiful being who came into our world, let
us honour him by expressing the Christ Consciousness within
us by remembering his words that ‘The Kingdom of Heaven
lies within us’ and ‘We should love God with our
whole heart, mind and soul’ and ‘We should love
our neighbour as we love ourselves’. Let us manifest
that consciousness today.
Meditation
Let us go within.
Let us remember the significance of this day. Let us remember
the birth of the beautiful master and teacher, Lord Jesus.
Let us begin by honouring him as we mentally repeat the mantra
that honours this great soul…
Let us remember his
teachings. He spoke of the Father who is in Heaven. He said
‘The Kingdom of Heaven lies within us. Let us take a
moment to contemplate that inner Kingdom. In the silence of
your mind, be aware of the presence of that great Source within
you from where all happiness comes, from where all peace comes
and from where all wisdom comes, right in your own being.
Heaven lies in our sacred space inside. Jesus said, ‘The
Kingdom of Heaven lies within you’. Heaven is that space
of perfect love within you, that space of deep peace within
you, that space where you feel the presence of God within
you. Take a moment to feel the existence of God within you.
Our Father who art
in my inner heaven, halloweth be Thy name. Acknowledge the
presence of God within you. Repeat the name that is sacred
to you, remembering the presence of God is the presence of
perfect Love. Perfect love is within us, we are capable of
perfect love as the Christ manifested.
Centre yourself in
that emotional space where you can feel the love of your inner
being. Bring love into your space. The master Jesus said ‘Love
God with your whole mind, your whole heart and your whole
soul’. Bring God into your space and think of all the
blessings that God has bestowed upon you; the blessings of
life, the blessings of abundance, the blessings of spiritual
guidance, the blessings of good company, the blessings of
the air that we breathe. Let love flow from your heart in
thanksgiving and gratitude to the Creator of Life.
Let us meditate on
the Christ love. Let us contemplate the love that Jesus embodied.
Let us remember how he lives, walking amongst fellow human
beings, serving them, loving them, healing them, and teaching
them. He walked as they walked; he ate as they ate and lived
as they lived. Let us in our hearts embrace his love on this
day.
‘May my heart
be open to the Christ love. May my heart be open to the Christ
love… Oh beautiful Christ of love, be born in my heart
today as awakening of spiritual love. Let us Christmas Day
be the birth of your love within me that I may honour human
beings as you did and I may love God as you did. Be born in
my heart today, oh teacher of teachers, oh servant of God,
oh messenger of truth be born in my heart today’. Immerse
yourself in the spirit…’
Let us feel his divine
presence within us. Jesus said ‘Where two or more of
you are gathered in my name, there I am in your midst’.
‘Oh beautiful Christ of
love, we know you are in our midst now. We honour this day
because of your consciousness manifested amongst humankind.
May your light of love bring unity and happiness to our world.’
Take a moment to picture
earth in your mind and let us feel the world is in our hands.
Let us feel we are holding our earth metaphorically in our
hands and we are extending all the love to our beautiful earth.
We are letting the Christ love flow from our hearts through
our hands blessings our earth.
Beloved Messenger of
Love, we ask You to manifest Your divine energy and presence
in and through us. Bless our world today. May we not fight
with each other. May we not steal from each other. May we
not harm each other. May we never make any one suffer. May
those who are wicked be transformed. May there be peace, love
and harmony in our world.
Our Father Who art
in heaven Hallowed be Thy name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will
be done Earth as it as it is in heaven, so on earth, Give
us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses
and forgive all our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass
against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us
from all that is evil, for Thine is the Kingdom the power
and the glory, forever and ever Amen.’
Christ Consciousness
I continue to say it is a season not just for making merry,
it is a sacred season. When I embrace the season, I embrace
the sacredness. For me, to remember Jesus is to remember perfect
love, it is to remember sacrifice and to remember love for
God and love to human kind. Today I hope we can embrace that
in our own lives. Perhaps what is the greatest principle that
Jesus taught was that ‘The Kingdom of Heaven lies within’,
which puts us into the seat of great responsibility. He said,
‘Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven’.
What he is saying is that the spirituality should be manifested
on the physical plane as it is on the spiritual plane. The
spiritual plane is a plane of perfect love, peace and harmony.
The challenge for all of us is to bring the spiritual into
our daily lives.
What endears me to Jesus was his humanity. I love reading
about his humanity. It is said that the shortest sentence
in the Bible is that ‘Jesus wept.’ Someone who
lives in God’s Consciousness and feel detached from
the whole world, yet would embrace the human feeling and weep.
He not only wept, he cursed the fig tree when it had no fruits.
He showed human expression. In the garden of Gethsemane where
he understood that his life would be a sacrificed, he asked
that the cup be taken away. And on the cross he said, ‘Why
has Thou forsaken me?’ My feeling is that Jesus only
played a game with us because he was fully human and fully
divine. He could cry as we cry, he could curse as we curse,
he say let the cup be taken away from him as we do and he
could be speak about being forsaken as we do. He showed us
that he carried humanity in him just as we do. What is great
is that he is telling us that we are fully divine as well.
Jesus is such a great example of being fully human and fully
divine. We have to accept our short comings. We have to accept
the humanity inside of us as much as we accept the divinity.
Sometimes we say, ‘Why should this one argue? Why should
this one be angry? Why should this one cry?’ It is the
human experience. What is greater in the human experience
is that we are fully divine. Had Jesus shown only spiritually
we would never think that his teachings are for us.
One day Gandhiji told a little girl to ‘Pinch me! I
am real’. We tend to think that these beings who manifest
spirituality are aliens, especially if they keep aloof and
we don’t see the humanity and we think we cannot become
like them. But the moment they begin to show humanity, we
want to embrace them more and be a part of them and we think
we can be like them saying, ‘Well, he has faults too,
so I am okay.’
Jesus lived as we live but he was never caught up in the things
of the world because he lived in a different place inside.
In the Hindu scriptures, Krishna lived among people sporting
in the world. It is said that his student in the battle, Arjuna
treated him like a friend but Arjuna always thought that Krishna
must be something special and he is not seeing the right thing.
One day Arjuna asked Krishna, ‘Please show me who you
really are, I cannot believe you are just my friend.’
Krishna said, ‘Not with the human eyes you will see
this, you need the divine eye’. Krishna blessed Arjuna
with the divine eyes and what Arjuna saw was magnificent.
Everywhere he looked he saw Krishna. He thought Krishna was
just his common friend. And that is what Krishna did.
Those who are really touch by the spirit of Christ will see
Christ everywhere and in every heart. Can you imagine who
Jesus’ disciples were? They were the common folks. One
of the disciple betrayed him and one denied him thrice. These
were the people the Christ had to work with but he was so
full of love. Jesus disciples were like us but yet, he brought
them together in such love. After Jesus left, you can look
at the legacy his disciples left. That was the greatness of
the teacher, the ability to embrace everyone with great love.
He even kissed Judas knowing that Judas betrayed him for thirty
pieces of silver. I wish we can have this love in the world
today.
We are easily affected by those who show negative towards
us. If we can love those who oppose us that is the test of
true love, not to love those that love us, that is easy, but
to love who really challenges us that is the test of love.
You can challenge me in any way and I am still going to love
you.
The more people give
me a challenge, the more strong they make me. In this country
we are challenged with crimes but that can only make me want
to do more good and touch more lives. Adversity can bring
out the best within us if we allow it too.
Let us remember the
message of this great being. Just to think of him is such
a joy. Just to think of his life is a joy. Each time I look
at the life story of Jesus, I am inspired all over again.
I am never tired of looking at his story.
Let us remember Jesus’
two beautiful commandments ‘To love God with our whole
heart, whole mind and whole soul and to love our neighbour
as we love ourselves.’ Let us remember that. Let us
embrace them in our own lives. This is 2005 years after Jesus’
birth. The laws that Jesus gave, still applies. I think in
5005, we will be saying the same thing.
Can we remember the
Christ love today? Can we honour the Christ love? Each time
we dishonour the Christ spirit inside, we are crucifying the
Christ just as they did externally. They made a mockery out
of Jesus, they tortured him in every possible way when he
was such an embodiment of perfect love. They will do it all
over again in this world. They shot Gandhi, they shot Martin
Luther King just for standing up for divine principle. The
world is still not a safe place, the Christ will continue
to be crucified but let us not do it.
Whenever we hurt another,
we are crucifying the Christ. Whenever we get caught up in
the world, we are crucifying the Christ. Whenever we deny
the existence of God, we are crucifying the Christ. Whenever
we are selfish, we are crucifying the Christ. Let us not do
that. If we can be the example, then we can help inspire others
and inspire those around us.
Let us remember that
the Christ spirit lives within us. It is not in the Bible,
it is not in the church but it is within us. The Christ spirit
is within us. The Bible says that this body is a temple of
the Holy Spirit. Let us remember that Christ within, Christ
within me, Christ within me…
