SEEKING HELP

My Dear Ones,

Sometimes in striving to manage emotions we avoid seeking help from others for fear of becoming dependant or perhaps we do not want to bare ourselves. Whatever the reason may be for not sharing how we feel with others we need to look at the value that someone can provide when nothing else works for us.

However, in seeking help from others we need to be very careful in choosing whom we speak with. This is critical. The person, besides being someone whom we can feel comfortable with and trust, must be centered in a stable emotional space. Otherwise, any inability to deal with our emotional burden may have a subtle adverse influence on us. The person needs to help us analyze our emotional world and find ways of transforming our weaknesses. One who is centered in a space of deep peace and believes in the infinite possibilities of the human spirit can be a powerful ally on our journey to strength.

If we can find such a person, just being in their calming presence can be very therapeutic. Such persons with their powerful listening skills allow us to see ourselves and our challenges in a clearer way as we speak to them. They draw us with their love, caring and non judgmental nature to bare ourselves almost effortlessly and willingly. Then, with patience and a steady positive attitude, they work with us to find solutions that are within our own realm of possibility.

As we begin to work on our emotional challenges with their guidance, they continue to support us with their own emotional strength, holding ourhands when we feel weak and insecure. If we fall they are there to lovingly lift us and show us the way once again with never a sign of disappointment but only great understanding and compassion. Their joy is in seeing us become emotionally strong and able to take charge of our own lives. Such persons are blessings when they enter our lives. They are precious gifts from the Universe to us. Their joy is not in just guiding but in serving.

In time we, too, will be able to help others in the way we have been helped. Life is about helping each other when needed. We have been blessed to receive and so we should be open to give. In this way we work together to co-create a better world.

Yours in loving service,
Vasudeva
