My Dear Ones,

As we look ahead to new and exciting possibilities in the New Year, isn’t it great that we can create the future in our mind’s eye? We can dream of what we want to accomplish. We can do so in such detail that at least in our mind it seems already accomplished. Do we become dreamers who lose touch with reality when we do this? Or does this amazing ability give us power to chart our destiny?

We have the power to create ideas and images in our minds. Using this we can visualize what we want to achieve in this year, now, and we can do so in great detail if we wish. We can plan for each month, week and even each day for the entire year ahead of time. In our mental world we can create our future as we wish. Of course, this is subjected to the realities of our physical world and may or may not unfold as we expect or predict. What then is the value of such actions?

When we create images of what we want to achieve in our minds and make plans to do so we create a subtle reality in our inner world that is very powerful. One that can guide and inspire us all through the year to achieve what we want to in the physical realm. Even if situations change from what we may expect, we can modify plans accordingly and recreate our vision. Such flexibility we are blessed with to deal with change. The secret is giving value to both worlds, physical and mental, and learning how to work with these two realities. We create in the mental considering the physical situation and all factors involved. Then work with the physical striving to bring the mental image into physical reality. In other words, we work to make our dream come true in our daily lives.

Then there is the power of belief. If we firmly believe that we can accomplish what we mentally create we attract what is needed from the intelligent and responsive Universe around us. In believing, we become more integrated within and draw support towards us to achieve our goals. This is very interesting to practice and observe what happens. When we begin to see it at work in small things our faith builds in the principle.

It is important to note that the Universe can also challenge us with adversity to make us stronger. In wishing for something and believing in the possibility it may not come to us as easily as we expect. We may face obstacles that challenge us to grow in many ways bringing out hidden strengths and wisdom we never thought we possessed. So we achieve eventually not only what we wanted but much more.

Working with the Universe and our own creative power we have the opportunity to co-create our destiny. What a wonderful gift we have if only we can use it to full advantage!
