My
Dear Ones,
BATTLEFIELD
OR ADVENTURE?
Last week I left you with the question for contemplation:
Can we see life as an adventure rather than a battle for survival?
This is a choice we have that we need to be aware of. Caught
in the battle to survive we lose the freedom to view life
in any other way. We may feel that we are a victim of the
forces of life that seek to destroy our peace of mind and
state of well-being. Certainly, we exist in a world where
survival of the fittest seems to rule. A world where there
is injustice, unfairness, hate, greed and selfishness, where
no one may seem to care for us or love us at times when it
matters most. When we are faced with this and there seems
to be no way out we may lose faith in the existence of a Higher
Power and its benevolent presence in our lives. We become
a victim and live in the darkness of defeat and hopelessness.
It is very difficult in this case to see anything else. If
only we could see that we have given away our freedom and
are caught in our own self-created emotional prison. How can
we lift ourselves from such a dark space that seems so real
to us in those moments?
In
those moments we lose all sense of our great inner power.
We seem to be like lions hypnotized into 'sheep awareness'!
We lose the vision that we have the power to make the Universe
work for us if we use the power of intention, positive thinking
and emotional intelligence. We need to self-reflect and see
how our thoughts of being a victim hold us in that space and
keep us there. In that self-reflection we need to shift to
a space using intelligence and will, two powerful gifts in
the human experience, where we can see more possibilities
that exist for us. This is a leap into freedom. Here we see
that we have the choice to think negative or positive, to
be emotionally hopeful or hopeless. There is such a powerful
shift in energy when we see and embrace this difference. Suddenly,
the glass of life becomes half-full and not half-empty anymore.
The battlefield of survival becomes a field of exploration
of possibilities - an adventure. The victim disappears and
an adventurer emerges. If it is difficult to make this shift
we need to seek the company of those who live in a space of
freedom. Those who have learned to see the adventure that
life is. Those who can guide us to our own space of power.
In learning more about our own power we learn to co-create
our destiny in our intelligent Universe using the power of
thought, emotion and intention. These are powerful tools that
we possess that can make such a difference in our lives. However,
we need to learn how to protect ourselves from the dangers
of their misuse and how to use them effectively to achieve
what we want. The Universe provides us with all possibilities,
even to become a victim! So with such power we need to learn
how to be responsible for our own well-being and future.
Yours in service,
Vasudeva
