My Dear Ones,

I would like to focus on the need in our lives for mental and emotional mastery. I have been saying that this is a basic discipline that we need in our lives. It is an essential part of our growth and development as human beings. I wish that in our normal education system there would be space for this. It is difficult to imagine that in a developed society learning to manage our mental and emotional being is not given the attention it deserves.

Our mental and emotional being is such a powerful instrument that we can destroy ourselves and others if we use it in the wrong way. It is like a weapon that becomes self destructive if not handled properly. Negative thoughts and intentions as well as emotions adversely affect our lives and those whose lives we influence. It can destroy our health, relationships and also lower the vibration or the subtle energy of the space around us. We should never allow negative thoughts and feelings to dominate our inner world and stay there for long.

Instead we need to learn how to manage our mental and emotional being. We need to be very aware of what goes on in our inner world and to be responsible for creating the best inner space that we can. We need to learn to keep positive and uplifting thoughts in our minds and avoid the negative ones. We need to learn to embrace and create the emotions that promote personal well being and help us to develop better relationship with our world. This requires self discipline. How can we call ourselves civilized if we do not have this kind of training that allows us develop rather than destroy ourselves.

We need to give attention to this essential training and development in our lives. Now you can see why these meetings we have are so important. Let us continue to work on our inner development. We cannot move forward as a society unless we learn this basic self discipline. We have been blessed with such great inner potential and power. Let us respect ourselves and work towards bringing out the best within us. If we love our world we would want to offer it the best that we can. What is your plan for this self development? Do you have one?

Yours in service,
Vasudeva
