My Dear Ones,

Today I want to focus your attention on the need for spiritual discipline on the path of spiritual growth. If you are serious about your spiritual growth then you need to have some sort of discipline in your life that works for you. As you begin the spiritual path you will notice that there are so some many distractions that tend to pull your attention away. If you are not strong enough you can easily be influenced to fall back into old patterns of behaviour that lead you away from your true Self. As I always say, bondage is misery and freedom is joy. The spiritual path is the way to freedom and the selfish pursuit of worldly pleasure and power leads ultimately to only pain and misery. One can only really enjoy the material world if centred in the spirit. Contemplate this.

So pursue the spirit that you may really enjoy this human experience. Be disciplined in your ways as you follow your path to the spirit. Discipline brings many wonderful gifts on the journey. It may be tough at first but ultimately it brings joy and freedom. Strive to keep positive and spiritual thoughts in the mind, be well intentioned in your speech and let your actions be for your own uplift and that of the world around you. Keep good company. Take care of your body as it is your precious vehicle on the journey. Use your time well. Train your mind with prayer and meditation remembering that your mind is your best friend and worst enemy.

All these things I have said to you before but I cannot help reminding you as they are so vitally important on the journey. Bear with me as I know how important this advice is.

In loving service,
Vasudeva
