Welcome to this period that is coming up. This is really the eve of the 40 days where we are going to come together in retreat and to go deeper into self awareness. This year I have decided that it will be based on energy awareness, energy awakening, energy development, and energy relationship. Today, I want to speak a little bit about the power we have in co-creating a field, as we do when we come here to the hall and when we relate and interact with each other in the Center. We are actually co-creating a very powerful field of energy.
It is really wonderful when you can be aware of that as it is happening. I really do believe that when you come into this Center, that it is a destined action, that it was meant to be and that it is part of a bigger plan. That is why I am so committed to everybody who comes into the Center and by extension everybody who interacts with me from the entire world, because I see the entire world as a Center, a global Center. Of course, what is different in this space is the control we have over the space. We do not have that in the global Center. You have a great opportunity when you come here, to co-create a wonderful field that can lift you, support you and help you to take that deeper step inside.
The Journey of Life
I will begin by saying that the journey of life is really a journey of self discovery; it is really a journey of self-empowerment, a journey of self unfolding or self-development. That is the real purpose of life, no matter what other purpose you have for yourself, that is the purpose of life. How can you know that? Just by observing how you feel in all your activities in your world. And if you are really aware, really sensitive to energy and to how you feel deeper inside, you will see that the only activities that fulfill you in a deeper way is when you go inside.
The things in your worldly relationships or your worldly ventures or your worldly pursuits bring a certain kind of comfort, perhaps a certain kind of pleasure, but I dare say not true happiness. In my experience true happiness is a quality of your soul, your soul being. And no matter what possessions you have, no matter what material comfort you have in the world, it still does not fulfill you like the spiritual experiences that you can feel as you go deep into your being. It is always very important to observe life, to reflect upon life, to analyze your experiences and to really ask yourself: what is really the purpose of my being here in this world?
If you can really recognize the true purpose of life and begin to take the steps to go deeper into yourself, then you are on a journey of fulfillment, you are on a journey to freedom and you are on a journey to happiness. If you have been attracted to this Center, if you have come to this Center whatever the circumstances may be, it is because a deeper desire is unfolding and that life is supporting that desire. What makes a place impactful or powerful is the quality of the consciousness of the people who are at the Center. If you have a few people of higher consciousness, higher self awareness and higher spiritual development, they help to create a very powerful field. And the more of us who are engaged in that, who are touched by that and who allow ourselves to be stimulated by that, then the stronger the field we create.
Such a field can lift us to new levels of self awareness. The journey inside, when you begin to make that journey, is a marvelous journey. I seek to describe that every day that I interact with you; I seek to demonstrate it, to display it before you. The journey inside is a marvelous journey. It is a journey in the consciousness and it is a journey of energy. For many years I did not know how to reveal this to people, because I thought if people did not experience these things they would not believe it. It is very difficult to say these things, but as I find more and more people across our world familiar with energy and willing to listen and to begin to practice, then that gives me a little more motivation to share the deeper experiences.
I would say with every year that goes by I share more and more of my inner being. But it is a marvelous place to be when you are centered in that consciousness inside where you can feel the depth of your being, the core of your being, that unlimited power inside of you, and where you can learn how to relate to your world using the super powers of your energy being.
When we have a co-created field that is powerful and that has the purpose of wanting to go deeper (and there needs to be a purpose of that field that we create) where everyone in the field is resonating with that desire to go higher and you have a being in that field who is selfless and wants to serve and to support and displays a kind of leadership, then you have a wonderful field that can bring about magnificent changes within persons and within the Universe.
That is the opportunity you have in this field. Whether you are listening to me around the world or whether you are physically here with me, you have that opportunity of co-creating a very powerful field. And even if you are listening from far away, in the dimension of energy, you are right here with us. In the dimension of deeper consciousness, you are right here. It is only in the physical realm that we see distance, but in the realm of energy and consciousness, you are right here with us.
The journey of meditation is a very powerful journey, because it allows us the time to retreat and to go inside and not to be disturbed by anything, and to seek to extend that energy field that we have around us. As we begin to go deeper into ourselves and touch the depth of our being, we will actually feel the energy field around becoming stronger and more powerful, beginning to touch everything around us and helping to create a supportive field.
By being here in our Center, you have a wonderful opportunity to recognize what the Center has to offer, to recognize how to get involved in the activities here, so you can continue to support the powerful field. The more self awareness there is, the more heightened consciousness there is in the field, the more power the field has to lift us inside and the more power the field has to impact the world around us. This is the excitement that I have every day as I interact with my world. That is the excitement I had and that is the excitement I have now and that is the excitement that I am going to generate in this 40 Days of being together in retreat.
Today I would like you to experience the field that we are going to co-create; the field of energy that we can co-create, simply in meditation, by committing ourselves to really going deep inside, and to moving away from the diversions that take us away from that inner space. Every time a thought comes into your mind that takes you away from the drive to move forward, dismiss it if you can and push it away.
What is most important are the steps that you are making deep inside. What I love to see when you are around me is that commitment to go deep into the meditation. I want to say that if you want to get deeper into energy awareness, you need to observe what happens each time you breathe deeply, because breath is not just air that comes into your body and leaves. Breath is energy, ‘prana’ that comes into your being and energizes you in a very powerful way.
I am going to lead you into the morning meditation. I want you to begin with this awareness, the power of the field, the power of having single vision and single purpose in the field, the power to recognize energies and to align yourself to the most powerful energies in the field and then there is great power.
Just to say to you even when you come into a powerful field like this, there is going to be distractions, because there are fluctuating energies in the field. There are always temptations to take you away from the field but these challenges are good challenges. Even when the field is not perfect, it is good for challenging us, to see if we can be tempted into moving away from that purpose or that energy. When you sit to meditate you are influenced by the energies of those around you, but if all of us together begin to direct our attention on the single purpose of wanting to go deeper inside, to receive the highest energies in the space and to co-create this powerful field of high energy, then the power is unlimited.
