Yesterday, I was dealing with the very interesting subject of the relationship between the inner and outer Guru. It is an important relationship.
The Need to Come Into Our Own Inner Guru
When we meet a Guru or we accept a Guru the tendency is to give our power to the Guru to guide us. Of course that should only be an initial stage, after we have selected an outer Guru, we trust the Guru, after really observing the Guru and becoming confident that this person can help us or lead us. How do we make that transition ultimately to come in to our own? Coming into that place of our own Guru, ultimately we have to go there, no matter who the outer Guru is, no matter how powerful the outer Guru is and no matter how much we believe in the outer Guru. We need to come into our own inner Guru.
There needs to be a transition of power coming back to our own. How do we make this transition effortless, seamless and smooth that there is no sadness, emptiness, loneliness or separation? How do we make this transition? This is an important thing.
This is how I made the transition. Sometimes, when I speak about coming into our own, people may get the idea that immediately they need to do this by themselves. They need to separate themselves from all outer Gurus and they need to go and do it by themselves. Of course this is another aspect of the ego. Or sometimes we want to push away the outer Guru thinking because the outer Guru is saying now that we need to go inside we need to push the outer Guru away. That is another aspect that is not the best.
Presence of an Inner Being Beginning to Develop
How do we go into this effortless, smooth and seamless transition? It is important that when we begin to feel some kind of impact from the outer Guru. We begin to feel that there is some kind of energy awakening in us, that we move away from the idea that it is just the Guru’s energy that is doing this and coming into the idea that our own energy is awakened. When the energy body in us is awakened we begin to feel the inner power of the power centers. We need to recognize that an inner guide is waking up. It may not yet be ready to take control but it is waking up, so the presence of an inner being is beginning to develop. When we give attention to it, we will actually find there is some kind of guidance inside, there are some promptings that may take place and you begin to feel this intuitive response in you to do things that you were not doing before that will uplift you.
Some of us we have kriyas, we have things happening inside of us based on this inner power awakening. Well it is not just the power of the outer Guru that is doing that but the power of our own inner Guru. The inner Guru is being awakened. We need to identify that this is the presence of our own power inside. Of course the outer Guru is a support, we need this outer support because it is a difficult journey. We may not even understand what is happening within us. Sometimes we may slump back into negative ego patterns of the past that are in some of these chakras as blocks. Then we need the support of a group and the support of the outer Guru. We need the confidence that, that Guru may have. We need that association.
Working With the Outer Guru
We need to work with this outer Guru really learning the secrets of the inner and trying to take responsibility for that inner journey. Ultimately when the brow center is opened up then we will feel a greater sense of self-responsibility and a greater sense of self-empowerment. We begin to feel that now I can handle this.
We will begin to feel like the Guru feels. We will even begin to understand the outer Guru better. When this point is arrived at, then we will begin to feel closer to the Guru even though we are further away. That is an important point.
Some people believe that just by being in the physical proximity of the Guru that they are really close to the Guru., But this can be further from the truth than you think, because we can be in the physical presence of the Guru and not really be in touch with the Guru, because the physical is an illusion. The inner brings the greater communication. I have said to you before that it is all inside of us though appearing outside. We touch other beings more closely inside of us than outside.
Communication with the Outer and Inner Guru
In finding the inner Guru inside of me when I met the outer Guru I had to go inside, I had to go in my being and then I could appreciate the outer better. We become in greater communication with the outer when we begin to visit the inner and to understand the workings of the Guru inside. This is where the transition becomes seamless.
If we are really working with the Guru and we have this transition in mind and understanding it, we will begin to feel greater rapport with the Guru. No matter where we are we feel a greater closeness to the Guru. Do you know that this draws the Guru’s attention more than anything else? A lot of people seek the attention of the Guru. But only when you go inside and communicate with the Guru strongly from your energy body to his or her then you pull the attention of the Guru towards you because you are doing the things that bring you closer to the Guru. Being with the Guru really is being in touch with the space of the Guru, it is not just being physically with the Guru.
This is what gave me the strength to leave India and not lose the presence, communication or unity with the Guru. That was amazing. When that happens whether you are with the Guru or away from the Guru you experience the intensity of the experience.
Secret to the Deepest Communication
The secret to all communication is from the inside. If you want to communicate with anybody bring their form inside of you and begin to feel or imagine that, that person is right there before you. Begin to contemplate the qualities of the person and that will draw your energy body to theirs as you think of their qualities and just begin to feel that this person is right before me. Ultimately you will feel that the person is right here because you are touching the person in the Source of your being and you are touching their energy body, which is omnipresent. All we need to do is to use the attention and to bring the energy form and we are right there with the person in their energy field. That is the secret to the deepest communication. I wish that people can understand this especially in relationships because you can live with someone and still not be in touch with them. The idea is touching from the inside. You draw their attention towards you. You draw them towards you.
How to Make the Transition Seamless
This is how we make that seamless transition by:
- recognizing the impact of the outer on the inner
- observing what is happening in your energy field
- observing this inner power awakening in you
- creating a greater desire to communicate with the Guru from the deepest level of your being
- go deeper in yourself and you are going deeper in that space where the Guru is
Signs of an open Brow Center
When the brow center is open you will actually feel that you can be like the Guru, you can do what the Guru does. This is a strong feeling that will come within you. When it happens you need to be humble, you need to think this is grace. You need to forge your way to ultimate freedom not to become so proud and think well I have Guru qualities in me now I can do anything. But continue to be humble until the full journey is made. Only when the brow center is opened fully will you become completely in touch, in oneness with the Guru.
Unite with the Guru Consciousness
Whether karma brings you physically to the Guru or not you can touch the Guru’s entire being from inside; it is the karma that determines whether we are close to the physical Guru or not. But the possibility of uniting in the Guru consciousness is tremendous. There are some of us who are destined to work with the Guru in the mission of the Guru. And then the karma brings us in that position where we are working with the Guru and being united with the Guru Consciousness we become light workers as well. This is the idea of communication with the Guru and it is important to work this seamless transition.
This is what happened to me I was able to leave India and return to this country (Trinidad) and still feel as though I was in India. In fact it is still within me. In my communication with people I never feel that anybody leaves me. I feel it is such ignorance when people feel they leave each other especially when we know that we are connected in the Source and we are connected in energy. We do not really leave each other. We are in a sea of energy. The same Source that is within me is within you in this moment. All we need to do is to be aware of the energy connections that we have and the existence of that omnipresent Source. We do not leave anybody. It only appears so in the physical that we leave somebody. No matter where you are, no matter where you are looking at me now I am there with you and you are here with me.
We Don’t Really Leave Each Other
It is an illusion to think that our energy bodies are not connected in this moment because of the physical displacement. It is an illusion to think that the energy is only contained in this hall in Claxton Bay, Trinidad. It is right where you are, wherever you are. The connection is the inner. Some of you who are out there will have it more powerfully than some of the people who are here; because the physical creates the illusion that they are sitting away from the Guru. It may be ten meters away here and they are in the illusion that they are sitting away from the Guru. You who are there feel the energy of the Guru and you feel you are right here with us. You might be more here with us than some of the people here. That is the power.
That is the joy that I feel that I can be anywhere on this earth whilst my physical body is sitting here. That I can communicate with any being without telephone lines and wireless transmissions and that we can communicate with a Source that is instantaneous not disturbed by technical problems that is the power we have in our soul, the power of omnipresence. The power of making energy connections in the moment with the power of thought and the power of having the perfect relationship with beings on this earth from the Source that is what I wish for you.
I am never away from you, you are never away from me and that is such a power. I feel and I hope that you all can feel that. No matter where you are and you are a part of this work, we are united, more than you will ever know. Strive for that. That makes the transition smooth and seamless, where dependence and independence does not mean a thing. We are there with each other.
