Welcome to Day 39 of our 40-Day Retreat.
Yesterday we spoke about action and consequence in the field of the Universe. Today I’d like to focus on the subject of co-creation in the field.
Co-creating in harmony
The field of the Universe is constantly in a creative mode as it is now, and in a sustaining and dissolving mode. And you would see that as individual beings we too have the power to create. We can create an idea, a thought, a feeling. We can use the tools we have to create a vision, and by extension we can even create things in the world: an organization, a family, a community, a city. So we have the power as individuals, and collectively as a community, and as a world to create.
When we create in the way of togetherness, we are co-creating, “co” meaning “together with.” So as I create an idea or a vision, and strive to create things in the world, there are other individuals creating as well. Therefore, if we can work in harmony with the creative forces around us, a lot can be achieved in our interactions in the field. This is one of the principals of interacting that we can co-create. We can work together in harmony.
Tap into the resources of the field
We need to be aware of the creative forces around us. If you want to build a house for example, you can begin to recognize what resources are around you. The hardware is there that you can purchase material. You can enlist the help of someone who knows about material. You can get an architect to think about a design of the house that you are going to build. You can get a builder to tell you about the construction. You can find out about the quality of land from someone who knows about soils. So if you think of all the creative forces that are involved in creating a house and you can work together with all of them in harmony, the house will be built in no time - and in the best possible way.
The Universe allows you the possibility to work in a co-creative way with it. And if you try to build a house and you think that you can build this house by yourself, thinking that your little knowledge of purchasing, design and construction will suffice, you’ll find yourself in great difficulty and what you create may not be the best. It may have many flaws and weaknesses in it.
When you begin to act in the world, to acquire something, or to build something, are you aware of the creative forces around you and how to use them effectively? Even when you are ill, if you work in a co-creative way: you speak to those people who may know more about the illnesses of the body and the treatment of illnesses; you may go to different specialists to get opinions; then you are more likely to know more about the illness you have and be able to fight it, rather than working just by yourself. This is co-creative working.
Our challenge is to work co-creatively
If you have an idea, and you begin to say, “I don’t want to share this idea with anybody, let me just keep it to myself, and try to work it out and build on it.” You miss out on a great opportunity of sharing the idea and seeing how the idea can grow and blossom into an even greater idea by getting the viewpoints of people. How much more excitement and motivation there will be, if only you will learn how to work with your Universe in a co-creative way. This is the challenge that we have in the world today.
Sometimes we work against each other in competition, in jealousy and greed, and we lose the co-creativity. Look at our world today and see how Nations are fighting for themselves and how much poverty exists in the world side by side with so much wealth. This is what isolation does, it causes segregation.
The hope for our world is working as one in that co-creative mode in the world, and it’s the same with you. When you begin to think that all the forces in the world are part of the whole, and they belong to you as well, the carpenter belongs to you, the architect belongs to you, everybody. All these resources belong to you in your world and you begin to tap into them, how much more you can acquire anything you want.
Co-creating a state of freedom
The greatest achievement in our world, however, is co-creating that state of freedom within us. How can you tap into the wisdom of all those who have touched this place of freedom? How can we seek the advice of all those who are moving ahead on the path? How can we come together with people who are walking the path so we can co-create spaces of energy? We can co-create forums of knowledge, that we may be motivated more, and that we may gain more on the path. It is so easy to isolate yourself and tell yourself, “I’m going to achieve it,” but it’s so much more powerful when we begin to co-create with others. The Universe allows you this.
Synergy of co-creation
During my first visit to India I was influenced by a group, not even a teacher. I was influenced powerfully by a group that was inspired and brought together by a teacher. So powerful was the energy in the group that it awakened my own energy. It is the synergy of co-creation. So, in working with others, we can co-create the path to our own freedom. And the hope for the world, for example, in a time like now, is being able to work together in a global sense, in a community sense to creating a better world. You create a better environment and it helps you to go deeper inside yourself.
Tapping the positive forces of the environment
If the environment is filled with negativity and it’s filled with energies that are working against you, then it’s more difficult to sit to meditate. It’s more difficult to go deeper. Then it’s more difficult to walk on the outside. So it’s extremely important that in any environment that we are, we look for the forces that we can work together with to build a group, to build a space, to build a way of moving forward to a path. But to look for all the kindred forces around you and begin to co-create, that is the opportunity the Universe presents to you. So in our hope of co-creating a better world, we need to work with all the positive forces, the spiritual forces in the community, as we are doing now.
Creating energy in the spaces, harmoniously
Even in the meditation when I sit with you it’s a co-creation, though you are listening to my voice and I am guiding you. But each time that you are touched by whatever I am saying, and each time you begin to express what I am saying, you are adding an energy to the group that is helping the entire group to express what I am saying. I am enjoying the meditations very much with you because you are giving back something and it gives me more power to act. So we are actually co-creating in the space of meditation every morning.
It’s not just about me, it’s about all of us working together in harmony. And if you think about the space of the centre, we’re all co-creating the energies of the centre, so it’s not just about me, it’s about all of us. The more we begin to think about this, the more we work together in the way of synergy. It’s a way of working in the field, tapping into the resources that are around us, for building or achieving anything that we want to. And that is the way of the future.
Critical mass and the ripple effect- the Blue Star Way
The hope for us is the idea that in striving to co-create a more peaceful, loving and harmonious world, that we will not have to reach each individual in a personal way but when a critical mass of people is achieved, the energy that is there will ripple into the whole. So all we need to achieve is the critical mass of people in harmony, and then it’s going to trigger into the entire world. That is the great hope, and that is the way of Blue Star: transforming self that we may transform community in a very natural and organic way from inside out.
We can make a difference
I want you to think of this power we have to co-create in the field. We can create relationships, very powerful relationships. We can co-create with groups and we can co-create a better world. If only we can begin to recognize the power that we have within us to create, to use the tools we have within us, and to be aware of all the forces around us that we can tap into, to help to create this synergy that is required to lift us into a higher space.
I will leave you with that today: Co-creating in our effort to create a better world.
