DAY 13

Friday April 7, 2006

based on the message: HOW THE CAUSAL FIELD INFLUENCES THE EGO

...The causal field can be used for self development

The causal field influences our actions because when memories come back about things or about people it influences the way I behave. I want my behaviour to be such that it leads me to freedom. So whatever is influencing my behaviour, I need to be careful about it. If things come up that distract you from your spiritual goals, it is important to look at it and see what these distractions are creating.

The causal field is constantly with you, constantly impacting on you and influencing you. It has all the behaviour patterns we have created. The way I deal with a challenge, the way I deal with my body, the way I relate to music, to people, to situations, to animals, etc.

The moment I see a serpent, for instance, the causal is going to come up with whatever information I have in my past about serpents, allowing me the opportunity to reshape those ideas.

We think we can’t change the past. In a technical way, what is past is gone, but we can bring the memory back and modify that memory.

(more information about memory can be found online under the 2005 40 day archives on the home page click on day 3 2005)

...Enlightenment can transform the whole causal field
A step towards higher consciousness is a step towards grace. It is a relationship between you and the supreme. Effort can bring grace or it can bring you people who can help you receive grace.

Grace
When you see that grace comes easier to some people, it is because they have done work in past lives. As soon as the right environment or the right situation comes up, the recall comes back. So when you find enlightenment coming back quickly, it is because you have done it before. And when it is hard work, it means you have done some work before and now you have to work harder."
